Construction jobs, all levels, up for grabs in Midlands by Fortel

Fortel is set to have a significant number of jobs up for grabs at an upcoming fair in the Midlands.

The leading construction-career driver and supplier of labour across infrastructure is set to attend the Construction Jobs Fair which is being held on Thursday, October 6.

The event, which is being run by the West Midlands Combined Authority, is being held during National Construction Week and is a chance for people looking for a new job or career change to meet with employers, training providers and colleges.

Visitors will be able to find out about the vacancies, training and apprenticeship opportunities within the construction sector.

Being held between noon and 3pm at Edgbaston Stadium, representatives from Fortel which has its headquarters in Walsall, among other organisations, will be on hand to help showcase jobs for the future within the industry.

Nick Jones, from Fortel said: “This will be a great chance for people to find out about an industry which has so much to offer. We are able to talk through the jobs we currently have available, be it supervising leadership roles, skilled tradespersons such as carpenters and steel-fixers or machinery and plant drivers.  We want to show you why a career in construction has longevity with fantastic opportunities to grow skills and fulfil potential.

“We can offer training to those who are having a complete career change, to job opportunities to those who have worked in construction previously, or are wanting to change roles they are currently in,” he added.

“This event is a great opportunity for us to also be able to showcase what we do alongside so many of our peers, and for us all to be under one roof so people are able to find out everything they need to know about construction. We are very proud to be a part of it,” he said.

Demand for workers within construction is still high, and it is estimated that over 30,000 new workers will be needed by 2026 across the West Midlands.

Expected to be popular, bookings are available in one hour time slots to avoid overcrowding and ensure everyone gets access to all exhibitors.
